Jashim Uddin

Jashim Uddin is from Charshamontoshar village, Shariatpur, Bangladesh. After completing his graduation from Bangladesh, he went to England in 2005 to pursue a higher degree in Hotel Management. He took the admission to the NEWRY INSTITUTE – UK, Northern Ireland. The Course that he was admitted in was designed as work based learning program in conjunction with THAMES VALLEY UNIVERSITY. He successfully completed the mentioned course

After completing the desired course, Jashim worked in various hotels, resorts and restaurants in the UK about 07 years. In the year of July 2006, he has been awarded the Regional Award for Excellence in the UK northern Ireland. Besides, NATIONAL OPEN COLLEGE NETWORK UK has awarded him for his food preparation skills in the Hospitality Service. He has also done a few courses, like: Food Hygiene certificate, Food Safety in Catering etc

In the year of 2009, BBC Newsline has arranged a foreign student interview session where Jashim Uddin got the opportunity to represent the Southern Regional college, Northern Ireland, UK. He received his BTEC Edexcel Certification from Newry & Kilkeel Institute. He was also been awarded for Staff Training and development for hospitality from edexcel UK.

During his education & working period in the UK, he has a lot of memorable experiences. Such as: one of the VVIP events where he got the prestigious opportunity to cook the food for President of Ireland – Mary Mc Aleese & Newry & Mouren District Councilors in an outer catering service. On 2010, he joined as the head chef in Tabil Bistro which is one of the very famous restaurants in Northern Ireland UK.

After working almost for 7 years in England, he returned back to Bangladesh in 2011 and joined as an Executive chef at the earlier five star hotel- Hotel Agrabad in Chittagong. He has conducted several food promotion events there, such as- Seafood promotion, Italian food feast, Pitha Utshob, Local Food Promotion After 3 years, he joined as a Sous Chef, even as pre- opening Staff, in one of the best and largest 5 star Hotels Radisson Blu Chattogram Bay view. Later, he was promoted as an executive sous chef and he served there till march 2021. While working, he also conducted food promotion events of diffirent cuisines here as well, like: Sea food, Italian, Arabian, Mexican, also local food like Beef Mazbann. He also demonstrated his expertise in continental food- specially in Grilling, Roasting, Baking and in sea food cooking.

In April, 2021, he joined in Le Meriden Dhaka as senior sous chef which is one the prestigious 5 star hotels In Dhaka city. Later in March of 2022, he joined in Ascott.

Currently, Jashim Uddin is working as an Executive Chef in another reputed 5 star hotel- GRAND SYLHET HOTEL & RESORT. He is also a significant part of Chef Federation of Bangladesh where he is serving since 2019 as a senior vice president. He has also done a good few reality cooking shows with Maasranga TV and CTV.

Chef Jashim Uddin is a great cook and expert as he has years of experience. His various achievements in the culinary world keep on going till now.
